How far can you push a Land Rover?

At UDSS we're always delighted to hear about charity events being run by members of the british military. This April, members of 30 Signal Regiment are preparing to push a military Land Rover over 100 miles for charity - which could be a new record!

From 10 am on Thursday 20th April to 10 am on Friday 21st April, members of 30 Signal Regiment, based near Coventry will attempt to push a Military Land Rover over 100 miles in 24 hours in aid of 2 charities: the Royal Signals Charity and the Army Benevolent Fund both charities are for serving and retired soldiers and their families.

The event which has never been attempted comes on the heels of the recent Royal Corps of Signals centenary celebration (2020) and aims to promote teamwork, health, physical and mental resilience.

Over a 24-hour period, members of 30 Signal Regiment will attempt to push an Armed Forces Land Rover, in teams, further than it has ever been pushed before. The event, held at Gamecock Barracks, will be raising funds for the Army Benevolent Fund and Royal Signals Charity.
