UDSS Strengthens International Engagement and Strategic Partnerships

Universal Defence and Security Solutions (UDSS) was proud to be represented at Security and Policing 2026 by Neville McNally, Mark Roberts and Stuart McCormick, who spent the event engaging with international delegations, industry partners and security leaders on some of today’s most pressing national, international and public security challenges.

The event provided a valuable platform for UDSS to showcase its strategic approach to supporting governments, agencies and partners facing increasingly complex security demands. Across the exhibition, the UDSS team held productive discussions with delegations from Kenya, Nigeria, Morocco, Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria, underlining the breadth of international interest in integrated, practical and strategically informed security solutions.

A recurring theme throughout the conversations was the challenge of preparing for and securing large-scale public events, particularly considering Morocco’s planning considerations around the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Discussions focused on the wide-ranging demands such events place on national and municipal authorities, from border security and the transportation of people, to cyber threats, organised criminality, surveillance, forensics, training, equipment, tactics and procedures.

The Moroccan delegation discussions were particularly notable, including engagement connected to the Mayor of Casablanca and senior policing and intelligence stakeholders involved in planning and preparedness. These exchanges reinforced the importance of combining strategic planning with the right operational enablers, including exercising, capability development and technology integration.

UDSS also had constructive discussions with Kenyan representatives, including senior police leadership, about potential areas where the organisation may be able to offer further support. These conversations reflected the growing demand for trusted partners who can help align security ambitions with effective delivery.

Alongside engagement with government and international delegations, the event also helped strengthen relationships with industry partners, across key areas of operational and training capability. Discussions with Team Mercury helped reinforce the value of closer collaboration with UDSS, particularly in areas such as cyber, cybersecurity, secure communications and accreditation, where UDSS provides strategic-level oversight and guidance to complement technical and operational capabilities.

What stood out across the event was the value of UDSS’ engineered approach to problem-solving. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all answers, UDSS focuses on a clear methodology that helps clients identify the most appropriate solution to their specific challenge, whether that relates to public safety, national resilience, border protection, digital security or operational capability development.

The team’s ability to tailor discussions and presentations to each delegation’s priorities was supported by thorough market research and preparation in advance of the event. This ensured conversations were relevant, informed and productive, leading to a number of meaningful follow-up requests and opportunities to deepen engagement.

Security and Policing 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of bringing together strategic insight, trusted partnerships and practical expertise. For UDSS, the event was an opportunity not only to re-establish important international links, but also to show how a joined-up, client-focused approach can help partners address evolving threats with greater confidence and clarity.

As governments and agencies continue to navigate challenges spanning geopolitical changes, major event security, organised criminality, border pressures, cyber risk and emerging technologies, UDSS remains committed to helping clients develop the strategies, structures and partnerships needed to respond effectively.
