UDSS South & Central America Lead Kevin Fleming was honoured today with the Brazilian Navy Tamandaré Medal of Merit at a special ceremony held at the Brazilian Embassy in London.
The ceremony, held on Tuesday 13th December 2022, marked the Brazilian Day of the Sailor, which is the birthday of the Brazilian Patron Admiral Joaquim Marques Lisboa, Marquis of Tamandaré.
Kevin received the Brazilian Navy Tamandaré Medal of Merit, for his contribution to the Brazilian Navy during his 4 years as UK Defence Attaché to Brazil between 2016 and 2020. The medal was awarded in 2020, but only presented this year due to the pandemic restrictions.
