Universal Defence and Security Solutions was pleased to take part in the Ministerial-led, Department for Business and Trade sponsored UK–Morocco Business Forum from 1–4 June, supported by the British Embassy and DBT teams in Rabat and Casablanca.
The visit brought together more than 50 British companies as part of a high-level programme focused on Morocco’s Road to 2030, including preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, major infrastructure delivery, safety and security, transport, event operations and long-term legacy planning.
The programme was introduced by British and Moroccan trade ministers, alongside the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the region, who also engaged in separate trade talks during the visit. Across briefings, panel discussions and networking events in Rabat and Casablanca, the Forum provided a valuable opportunity to understand Morocco’s national ambitions and where UK expertise can support delivery.
For UDSS, the visit closely reflected our core capabilities: strategic advice, defence and security transformation, critical infrastructure resilience, capability development, risk management, command and control, and the integration of technology into complex operational environments.

A particular highlight was the visit to the construction site of the new Hassan II Stadium at Ben Slimane. As one of the flagship developments linked to Morocco’s 2030 ambitions, it demonstrated the scale of opportunity and the importance of designing security, resilience and operational effectiveness into major infrastructure from the outset.
The Forum also aligns strongly with the direction set out in the UK Strategic Defence Review 2025, which calls for greater readiness, stronger industrial partnerships, deeper international cooperation and a more resilient national security ecosystem. Morocco’s Vision 2030 provides an important opportunity for UK companies to contribute not only to a major sporting event, but to a much wider programme of national development, infrastructure legacy and long-term security cooperation.
Evening functions at the Ambassador’s Residence in Rabat and the Consulate in Casablanca enabled further engagement with UK Government representatives, Moroccan stakeholders and potential British business partners.
It was a short and highly productive visit. UDSS looks forward to supporting UK Government efforts in Morocco, not only in the run-up to the World Cup 2030, but in support of Morocco’s wider 2030 vision and the decades beyond as the country’s legacy estate continues to develop.
