Ukraine has had success in Kharkiv in the North forcing Russian troops to redeploy some elements, but Donbass is one of the main battles and features if the war that needs to be monitored.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a failure in many aspects; intelligence, a fundamental mis-appreciation of how Ukraine would respond, planning and logistics, and training in air and ground forces.

Although the Russian forces have been a failure with corruption running rampant throughout their operation, Russia does have time on their side and even with their suffering economy Russia could afford about two more years for this war.
